Nyhet EGR Operator Awards har sedan 2010 delat ut pris i en årlig gala till aktörer inom spelbranschen. I kategorin Pokeroperatör (Poker operator) gick utmärkelsen i år till Party Poker – PokerStars och Unibet var de övriga två nominerade.

Detta innebär att Party Poker tar hem EGR-priset för andra året i rad. Detta efter att PokerStars prenumererat på utmärkelsen tre år i sträck.

Vem som får pris utses av en panel bestående av 25 personer som alla är knutna och framträdande inom spelindustrin på något sätt. De kriterier som gäller kategorin ”Poker operator” lyder:

The poker operator of the year award will be given to the operator that has operated the most successful real-money poker offering over the past year. Judges will award the prize for originality, growth and marketing strategy, with special consideration given to innovation. Special consideration will be given to those operators who have shown growth in the current market and to operators that have been able to differentiate in a crowded sector. Additional recognition will be given to operators with a strong regulated market business.

Motiveringen till att Party Poker utsågs till bästa pokeroperatör 2018 löd:

Provided many examples of their growth and improving returns from their customers, and showed a real mixture of improving the product and customer interaction, stitched together into an overall strategy. What resonated most was the piece about truly understanding the customer.

Priset känns helt välförtjänt. Party Poker är fortfarande långt efter PokerStars om man mäter i trafik, men det är Party Poker som visat musklerna mer än vanligt under året. Några av nyheterna som rört deras verksamhet har rapporterats av Pokersajter.org:
